Casa Almachar has been lovingly renovated incorporating comfort and modern conveniences while ensuring its original rustic charm and character are maintained. Casa Almachar is situated in a quiet corner, only a short walk from Competa’s main village square. Tapas bars, restaurants and shops are all within a couple of minutes walk.

The cosy sitting room with original floor tiles, has a comfy sofa, Sky TV, video and dvd and a dining area. The small but beautifully formed kitchen is equipped with a full size cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle.

Casa Almachar has two bedrooms sleeping up to four people. The master bedroom is on the first floor with en suite shower room (please note that this is the only bathroom in the house). The second bedroom is on the ground floor leading off from the lounge with the choice of twin beds or a kingsize bed. On the roof terrace there is a wash room with washing machine. There are electric radiators in each of the main rooms for those cooler winter evenings.

The terrace affords breathtaking views of the village and surrounding countryside, extending down to the Mediterranean. On a clear day it’s possible to see the distant shores of Africa while enjoying a glass (or two!) of the famed local wine. It’s absolutely perfect for romantic alfresco dining and is fully equipped with table, chairs and loungers.

Cómpeta is a beautiful white village steeped in Moorish history and culture. It's location high in the Sierra Almijara affords it the most breathtaking scenery, with views from the mountains down to the sea. The 75 minute drive from the airport rewards those wishing to relax in a friendly village atmosphere with local shops, excellent restaurants and good tapas bars within the maze of cobbled streets. There is excellent walking and bird watching nearby.

A cot, highchair and stairgate are available to hire on request.

Currency Converter

Prices are per week, inclusive of electricity, bed linen and towels (please bring your own beach towels) for up to two/four people. Changeover day is flexible. Arrival after 4pm, departure by 10am unless otherwise agreed. Short and long lets are available. A £100 non refundable deposit is payable on booking with the balance due six weeks before arrival. At this time a £100 refundable bond will also be payable. Airport transfers are available at 55 Euro, subject to availability.
