Casa Grande, Canillas de Albaida

Casa Grande is a large white village house (approx 250 years old) sleeping up to 10 (in 5 bedrooms) close to all amenities of the white mountain village of Canillas de Albaida. The village has seven restaurants and bars ranging from a snack at the village pool bar to a more fancy meal in the Square.

Just outside the village is a horse riding stables. There are painting classes available plus walking parties in the cooler months of the year. There are 3 supermarkets, bank, chemist, doctor, swimming pool, 3 churches and an open air market (Mondays). In the nearby village of Competa (10 minutes by car or 25 minutes along a picturesque goat track) there is a hotel swimming pool which is open most of the year round.

On the edge of the National Park with its outstanding scenery, rivers and waterfalls Canillas de Albaida is ideal for walkers, families, artists and writers not wishing to holiday on the more noisy coastal resorts (25 minutes drive away). The village is well placed for sightseeing trips to Torre del Mar (Aqua Park), Velez Malaga (busy Spanish town plus Eroski shopping centre), Nerja, Granada, Selwo Safari Park, Tivoli World (Benalmadena) and is only an hour from Malaga International Airport.

2 (one on ground floor, one on first floor) both with bath/shower over plus toilet and sink with washing machine, plus two separate toilets (one on first floor and one on ground floor in courtyard)

Gas cooker/hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, good variety of cooking utensils

Sitting room with sofas, log burning stove, gas heater, TV, books
Gothic style dining room seating 10 with radio/cd/cassette player and gas heater

The Euro rate may vary according to exchange rates at the time of booking. Prices are per week for up to ten people. Rates are £50.00 per person per week ALL YEAR ROUND minimum of £200 per week. 20% non-refundable deposit on booking, remainder of payment plus cheque for £200 refundable deposit against breakages/damage/theft/gas bottles etc six weeks before commencement of holiday. The property is cleaned after each rental. All linen, blankets etc provided (2 week guests change own mid holiday) but please bring own beach/bath towels (hand towels only provided). Hire car recommended (or taxi from airport). Electric included in price however gas bottles are not. If a gas bottle runs out please replace (approx 10 Euros from local garage) otherwise we will deduct £15 from your deposit. Logs can be purchased at same garage or by the large supermarket in Competa (10 mins by car). Smoking in garden and/or terrace only. Pets accepted by arrangement.
