Casa la Piedra is a beautiful old village house with a wonderfully organic feel and simple Andaluz decor in the heart of Cómpeta with fantastic views across the village down to the sea. There are beautiful old spanish olive urns and mirrors displayed. The walls are covered with paintings and photographs of local artists. There is a large roof terrace from where at certain times of the year one can see the Riff mountains of North Africa. Casa la Piedra has some unusual architectural features including a balustrade exposing two floor levels, beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, from which you find access to a further wing with a Moroccan room with TV and video, books and a twin bedroom. This gives the house a distinctive spacious feeling. Indeed, every corner of this lovely house is a haven of discovery. Casa la Piedra has been sensitively restored to offer comfortable accommodation. The spacious kitchen/dining room is light and open with a large pine table seating 10 people. There's also an open fireplace and an inner courtyard of jasmin, aspidistras and exotic plants. Although Casa la Piedra is a large village house sleeping up to eight guests, it's layout makes it equally suitable for smaller parties of two or four.
