Casa Rosa is a spacious and attractively furnished house located on the edge of the village of Salares. The house is located in the upper part of Salares, and you can park your car thirty metres from the house. Three terraces overlook a beautiful valley with a small river. From the spacious roof terrace you can enjoy wonderful views of the highest peaks in the nature reserve and the village of Salares. The roof terrace is a great spot for dining outside, sunbathing, or enjoying the starry sky at night. Casa Rosa Salares is an ideal house for lovers of nature and tranquility, who also enjoy the atmosphere of a a typical Andalusian village.
A Romanesque bridge near the village leads to a mule track, providing access to varied scenic routes into the neighbouring villages and into the higher regions of the nature reserve.
Salares (population 150) is an authentic Andalusian village with narrow alleys and a remarkable church, the tower of which is a former minaret featuring beautiful Arab motifs.
The village has several bars and one grocery store where you can buy necessities. The British owners have decorated Casa Rosa Salares with love and great attention to detail.
Accommodation
The front door gives access to a sitting room with two couches, where it is nice and cool in the summer. There is a second sitting area with a wood-burning stove in the combined living room/kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all conveniences.
The rather steep steps leading to the lower terraces make this house less suitable for children and those who have difficulty walking.
Ground Floor: sitting area with two couches. Fully equipped kitchen/sitting room with dining table, and a sitting area with a wood-burning stove. Double bedroom. Bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.
First Floor: Two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. Washing machine.
All bedrooms have a wardrobe and two sets of drawers.
Casa Rosa is strictly non-smoking and is unsuitable for children under the age of seven and pets.
